A few years microsoft began work on this wista OS in the 90's and selved it,for one no hardware was cap,to run it at the time in the gen populas,it would have been,only specific gov. or some such and this was at one time posted in the gen.history, read it an dismissed it then but not so sure it wasn't true.they also had a Os that is still selved called black ice and it to was to complicated at the time to use,nt was the result of vista's being selved,yes building an operating sys is hard to do even linux,it was strictly geekdom and a lot of good people that has made it useable for nearly every one, this is not a flame or to downside you just a fact, from a researcher,and MS only cares about it's bottom line not who owns it,and as for dual and quads cpus they could if they wanted write 95,98,98se,mill.,nt,2000 to use those extra threads it wouldn't be easy but it could be done.they can if they wanted to take away your rights to use it just from using a cheat to play the games they have)they care about only who buys it,and how much they can weed out of you,the new vers.windows 7 I have beta tested on many test boards and systems,turned in a lot of buggs don't think it will make a diff. they use the gen.populas as their bugg testers,look at 98 and you'll see 98se mill.just to hold down peoples fears of the problems with their computers over the century turn,each sys has had a lot of eye candy for that time.don't beleave me look at four diff.vers.of the same thing and four huge prices windows seven will be the same, wake up and see it for what it is were's all the games,all the things they promised just a way to use your computer and lock out free use of appls.if a Apllication will benifit microsoft it's bought up,and gen.it's not even used,patents and legaleaze and many good programs were scraped with enept thinking and greed. ms is formost a huge global corp.with a lot of power,and money,Vista is a down grade in my book,they haven't hardly done any thing with it 'the service packs barely do much with it. it just to keep people pacifide till the next release,you see it's also a race to not be out done by other companys that actully do the major debugging of their OS and hardware,Hope they do it right this time but i doubt it.Note:i have 20 flavors of linux like most of them,also have 95,98,98se,mill.2000,nt,xp,xpsp2an3,xp64,x64 proffsional(best they had ever came out with to bad they didn't finish dev.AND last Vista ultimate,don't like it to many bugs still and a resource hog,and i'm running some good equitment,we have eight Gaming and test computers in our shop lab what ever and many test bed units,do a little googleing see what you can find out on the historys of Operateing sys.go to pc mag and pc world and do a little reading,just remmeber it's like everything else in the world there's always something better around the next corner,who knows may get banned but it's all the Truth and the name is Yellow Eagle
