you guys all go through cycles of spamming...fist a few people spam a little bit(they think its funny) then a few more people spam and complain about the spammers(they think its not)...then the spammers deny the existence of any spam post ever made by them....then the complainers call BS and quote 50 spam posts by the spammers because the complainers are better members than the spammers apparently...so they feel the need to make a big deal over nothing...then nobody posts for a while....and the cycle repeats.
you all can blame nobody but yourselves, poop on you! poop on you!

If its not for AMMO members to chat on then what the heck is it for? If you want to talk Halo then go to the Halo boards, thats what they're for.
Just because someone's chatting about something you're not interested in doesn't mean it is spam.
It seems to me that AMMO is divided. Theres a few who have been here a while and are uninterested in getting to know the newer members and dont want to chat with them, and just complain that its spam. It's like you've let people put the symbol in their sig but you're not prepared to accept them in AMMO. Ridiculous.
I know that you're not naming names, etc., but that last part was a bit odd to me. I was here pre-deletion. I still "got to know" dstates, DR, LM47, etc. I've even gotten to know the members being accused of spam and stuff. I just disagree with their actions. Sometimes you just have to draw the line.
@Ryan -You just missed the whole point of that scenario. It doesn't matter a whit what they were talking about, It was about perception, as in from one perception it was nonsense, but from another perception it was interesting
@forty-two -well just count yourself as one of the reasonable people then
I'm not talking about the stuff that people find interesting that I don't. That isn't spam. I'm talking about jibberish that users just throw down to increase their post count.

I agree with ryan that some members do need to slow it down, but shibby has point when says that not all conversations are going to be interesting to everyone, and some may see that as spam. However, that's why I think a.m.m.o. joining-requirements have gotten steeper every since 5.0. To keep newer members who are still learning how to post effectively out of the forums.
On another note, it seems ike the newer members and lower-ranking ammo members contribute the most off-topic and uninteresting/unfunny posts (with a few exceptions, obviously) Maybe a restriction period would benefit the thread? Just a thought.

Well the members under fire for spamming aren't like that.
