I have the retail version 1.0.0.1 and every time I double click the icon that it put on my desktop the screen turns black for about 4 seconds and a message pops up saying that scarface has encountered a problem. I have reinstalled it 3 times now with restarting and the same thing over and over again. Don't know what to do just bought the game off ebay bran new and I get this after waiting 11 days for it to come to my house. Any advice would be helpful.

Try updating your DirectX version.I had similar problem and all i did was i installed the new DirectX version.I think you can find the newer version of DirectX on Scarface disk.

you just need to update to the latest version then it will work
I had a similar problem with it before so just update and it works like a charm
