think of it this way, the 8800 GT can out perform the GTS and can give the GTX a run for its money, wait until those processing methods are applied to high end parts and we'll have killer GPUs in the next round of releases, another generation after that and imagin crysis level graphics as "the norm"

    ok i have a 6600 overclocked to 3.3
    a 8800GTS overclocked to 625 1470 1800 core / shader / RAM
    4GB of DDR 1066
    vista 64

performance sucks just now14FPS to 24 ranging from highest to high with AA OFF,

however at times its hard to notice the speed drop due to the more fluid post processing effects.

    Intel 965 mobo
    Core2Duo 6600 (2.4) running at 2.8 on air cooling
    2gb of Kingston DDR800
GeForce 8800GTS 640mb uplocked to stock GTX speeds.
    Samsung 22" widescreen LCD (1680x1050)

I've been playing the Crysis MP demo on High and Fraps reports about 45-70 fps depending on scenery, number of explosions, etc.

game running from a 150gb raptor hdd
    OS Windsux Vista64bit, (6.0.6000) running: 95 processes.

in game mode usage ram = RAM Used: 1.71GB Free: 2.29GB Total: 4GB Used percent: 42%
in game cpu temp 31° Celcius (yes idd ! can even take a foto from that if someone dont believe that, zalman cooler is awesome in its cooling job)
    Mobo temp in game 39°
    fanspeed averaging 2750-2800
    game running in 1680x1050

first off ofcuz bumped all possible incl advanced tab to the utter max. anti-alias to 16qx and all to very high
graphix are nice, but to jerky even on my system .

hence modified it to just high and this gives the best result in max viewing size.

havent checked fps yet, need to know how retrieve that yet... maybe someone has a hint for that

overall its looking great ... but think if one wants to go roll out to the max the investment of a mobo + ddr3 memory is required.

    QX6700
    4GB OCZ Alpha Titanium VX2
    8800GTX KO ACS3
    Vista Ultimate 64
    2x150GB Raptor + 850GB Storage
+ many more stuff but that doesn't really matter here

Crysis recommends very high settings (all) but when 1680x1050 + AA it runs a bit too slow for me.

    Abit AB9 Pro
    Intel Core2Duo E6600
    4GB OCZ XTC Gold
    XFX GeForce 8800 Ultra XXX

I'm currently running Vista x64. The 32bit version is barely playable on High settings. The 64bit version plays flawlessly with all settings at Very High.
