    Gigabyte P965-S3 Mobo
    Intel Core2Duo E6400 (2.16ghz) OC'd to 3.2ghz &
on water - Cooltrek Vostok (and good ol' Arctic Silver)
(33c max temp on stress test)
    2Gb DDR2 Patriot 6400
Gigabyte Geforce 7900GT 256Mb PCIe @ stock clock speeds
(about to be replaced with EVGA 8800GT 512Mb Superclocked edition)
    160Gb 7200rpm SATA (+ 2x 80Gb IDE + 2x 40Gb IDE)
Acer AL2616WD 26" Widescreen Monitor (Primary)
Acer AL1916W 19" Widescreen Monitor (Secondary)

Vista gives my rig a score of 5.6.

Crysis is very playable with most options on high at 1024x768... and still looks mighty pretty. That said, I don't feel the urge to spend too many hundreds to play with all the bells and whistles on at native resolution (1920x1200 on the 26" and 1440x900 on the 19". 8800GTS will do me just fine until the 9th gen nvidia cards hit the shelves.

    Well, I have:

    Intel C2D E6850 (3Ghz)
    2GB DDR2 800Mhz
    Geforce 8800GTS 320MB

It recommends MEdium spec, but in the demo, despite the corruption i get, it seems playable on the highest setting....in WinXP.

I think the only problem i have is the card i have, it only has 320MB, where i believe it recommends 512MB or more.

But its very playable for me on high.

The settings in xp can be forced to very high you can download my settings.cfg on the message I posted. It is just as good as high on 1024x768 i get 26 to 32 fps and the game uses just under a gig of ram. use the 169.03 beta drivers for good results.

think of it this way, the 8800 GT can out perform the GTS and can give the GTX a run for its money, wait until those processing methods are applied to high end parts and we'll have killer GPUs in the next round of releases, another generation after that and imagin crysis level graphics as "the norm"

    ok i have a 6600 overclocked to 3.3
    a 8800GTS overclocked to 625 1470 1800 core / shader / RAM
    4GB of DDR 1066
    vista 64

performance sucks just now14FPS to 24 ranging from highest to high with AA OFF,

however at times its hard to notice the speed drop due to the more fluid post processing effects.
