Id try to get a full set of Kusha Armor. Then just keep upgrading it.

that means that you have to unlock the hr3 elder dragon quests as you will need its webbing

I killed it with full Ceanataur armour and the Frost Edge+ S'not that hard to be honest.

why didnt you use an eager cleaver or devil slicer, its worth the upgrade the true devil slicer is immense most powerful longsword in the game except for the ankantor sword

Well maybe I wanted to be protected from attacks. So I could block. Then again I wanted to be sure I could kill him, I don't think Thunder is his weakest spot.

i think i used full ioprey set (just incase) with sakura recorder either that or blagonga destroyer( the tachi). cant remember but it was fairly easy.

First time I killed him was with the Blangonga Destroyer. Or maybe the version before? Anyway, it was in a Treasure Hunt with the Rathian ><
