when i make a custom map and save it and try to play it, after a few seconds it appears the image ehere it says: DEFEAT. can anyone tell me what's wrong?

make sure that you have your win and defeat missions on a different mission setting

OK, the problem is with the estates. Castles on custom and freebuild maps need to have estates assigned to them. Switch to the terrain panel click on the little flag and amongst the ability to paint estate colours there is a castle icon click that and then on whatever castle you want to use as a main keep, a lil flag will appear beside it. That should solve the problem.
