Yeah...not as far-spaced as I thought it would be. The top 2 users, racing_nut and airhead, were almost completely even through the whole thing. I had spots open in Divisions I and II, but these two users were almost completely even in strength. Therefore, I had to completely redo the divisions. I hope you'll all understand why I have done certain changes.
First off, I promoted latios_power to Division I. He came one vote behind me in the regular matches, and I'm in Division I. It'd be a good idea for him to move up with users almost matched equally in strength with him. Also, he came close to beating ES, so why not give him a chance?
Because of this move up, Division II had two open spaces. I decided to keep Halospaz in Division II because speedemon only won by one. However, there was still one place left. Who did I promote? Vegetta. Vegetta, though placing 7th, was promoted because he has shown consistent strength throughout last season. He also votes regularly. His VD was rather big compared to users in front of him, so I think he'll be able to use that to his advantage this season.
Next up was Division III. Two open spaces went to the top two users, racing_nut and airhead. They were almost matched in strength, and Division III seems like a good place to start.
Division IV was pretty much the same. I moved the next two, Elimon and skotch, into the division.
Division V was probably the trickiest. I moved the users up and down, and realized that david and fault would have to move down with the users far below them in the placement match. If I tried placing users in there, I'd have to move both david and fault into there, making it 18, two too many. I relegated joshuaputra because he did not do well in Division IV, even to the users above him. Division VI would surely prove his strength. Also moved down was Angus. He probably would have lost to The-Killer, seeing as how he got to the semi-finals of the Best of the Rest. These were the only two users relegated twice.
Finally, Division VI. When I entered all the remaining users into there, I realized too many users signed up. I had 17 users! What to do, what to do...oh, the inactive users. I removed HaloChik for inactivity.
The final divisions have been decided. They can be found in the placement topic. I truly apologize for this. I had no clue things would go as horribly as they did at the end. Hopefully, you'll understand. I promise to try to do things differently next season, rather having this jumbled-up junkpile. I think it went well overall, but I thought it could have been smoother. Again, I am sorry.
Matches will be posted tomorrow. Have fun!
