You guys don't understand the eagle is one of, if not the best ship and the easiest to obtain of the VHFs (besides the Anubis). Armor isnt everything. The maneuverability of the eagle is much greater than the titan or sabre. Armor doesn't mean anything if you aren't able to be hit. the overall size of the eagle is the same basic size of the falcon, where as the titan and sabre could be compared to a freighter class ship. I am using an eagle with 2 diamondbacks, and 2 blue blazes. I have my other guns switched off even and i can take out a titan in 4 shots. Smaller ships in 2 to 3 shots. Beacause of the size and sluggishness of the titan it doesn't hold up to the eagle in any fight. If you get the class 10 shield for the eagle it is damn near unbeatable. (VHF is very heavy fighter. Titan is the corsair VHF. Sabre is the outcast VHF.)

In multiplayer, I'll favour the Eagle in vanilla Freelancer.

gimme a sabre those things pwn....4 nomad energy cannons or 2 of those and a couple of fire stalker launchers....destroy all in your path mwuahahaha.

Q: Can you get battleships?

A: Not in the Original Vanilla Freelancer. You can download mods for Freelancer though that allow you to purchase and use battleships and other capital ships ie, Dreadnoughts and Carriers.

At the moment I am playing on the Discovery mod, Pretty awesome ;P

What is the best ship I can get for level 20 in the Liberty, Breatania, and Kusaria systems(P.S. I only have explored a little bit from Reinland up to New Berlin) Need a ship that has tons of cannon spots and is better than the Barricuda.I don't care about armor or health( I have the cheat)

i gave up on this game after attempting, unsucessfully, to beat the race in the game.

How much does the sabre cost?

been a while since i played it was around 500,000-700,000 i think.
