Well, just lower his life until it reacher around 1/4, and get him close to the trap... (trap is on your left when you enter the cave) That was about it for me.. good luck

I know about the trap and thanks for the help anyway,but i finally killed him.The problem was that he was killing me all the time.Thanks

could someone please tell me how the hell does one free Hephaestus, in the Greek campaign. i reached mount Etna went to to Hephaestus forge, killed a bunch of cyclops and elementals and then finally found the blacksmith god but i can't free him.
i pulled the lever that was near his cage\prison and nothing happens.
