Ummmm im not 100% sure but im using Vista Ultimate and the retail version of warhammer and the retail trainer and whenever i start up the game the exe stops responding and vista shuts it down. Idk if this is a Vista problem or something wrong with my Vista install.

Nvm nvm i was stupid and didnt read some of the other posts. When i right clicked the exe and ran as adminstrator everything worked just fine. My question now is why do vista users have to do that even though your logged as an adminstrator on the machine.

    Hi,

Yes, very good question that is, I have been wondering why myself even since I looked at Vista. Being a systems administrator its is very strange and anoying actually.

But I would say, that is what microsoft have done so that "some things" can't be changed, like closing services for example, reason why I choose not to use vista.

Vista shouldn't get the blame just because you don't know how to do things ^^
Ah here we go again, the same thing as when XP was new, everything was "so bad" and "so sucky", that's just because everyone's gotten used to that XP crap. (XP is really crap, while Vista's quite ok. - imo)
Turn of UAC and try again. (And check other similar settings, I never have to run a program as Admin, and yet I do get Admin privilegies when running any program. When logged in as Admin ofc.)
And you can do nearly anything with Vista, much more than you can in XP... trust me, I've tried.

Lol well you do have me there. I really dont know how to do many things with Vista Yet that it is. I will agree with you that Vista can do a lot more and stuff but it's really limited cause vista is still new. I kind of find this like the PS3 and Xbox 360 EA Games thing i was reading on Daily Tech. EA made a statement that because the 360 has been avaliable for longer everyone was more smart on how to program for it instead of the PS3 and that is why they said the PS3 Madden 08 had a worse frame rate. Well just like Vista. It's only been out for what a half a year or so people still havent gotten used to the way vista re-acts to different codes in programs hence why so many people say that vista is the worse OS yet is because they arent giving it time.
