I rented halo2 for my new 360 yay but I don't know the story so could someone tell me 🤔

The master chief and the ai cortana just escaped the destruction of Reach. They exit slipspace and see a giant circular world (which you later find out is halo)

You and cortana escape to halo in hopes of fleeing the covenant warships. But captain keyes (the captain of the ship you were just in, the pillar of autumn) crash lands the ship somewhere on the ring.

You link up with the rest of the human survivors and free the captured captain and learn that "whoever controls halo, controls the fate of the universe" and flee the covenant warship.

You then find a map room called the silent cartographer that leads you to halo`s control room. Once there you learn that halo is far more dangerous than previously thought. Then you discover the captain is in danger.

You travel to a dense swampy region and venture inside a structure to find that the captain has been taken by a disease known as the flood, zombie-like humans and aliens that take the form of whatever they feed on.

You must link up with an ancient ai called the moniter and recover the index to control the outbrake. but once you return back to the control room, you learn of the terrible truth. Halo destroys all sentient life in the universe.

You have to delay the activation of halo by destroying three phase pulse generators. Giving you just enough time to reach the captain and blow up the pillar of autumn to detonate halo.

But you find that the captain has already been turned into one of the flood. You escape the covenant warship with his neural implants and head for the crash site of the pillar of autumn.

Once there, you have no choice but to blow up the engine`s fusion reactors. Once done, the moniter cannot stop the destruction of halo. But you need to escape. You hop in a warthog and head for the last serviceable longsword fighter.

Once there you escape just in time. Halo blows up. Cortana reveals there are no survivors*. End of Halo 1.

*If you read the book, First Strike, you will learn that this is false.

Technically games with a '2' in their name are games that came after a first game...would be wise to rent the first game first...

But if you still can, rent the first game too...

You might wanna play Halo 1....

Then Halo 3 (wen it comes out)

Yeh, for 2 reasons:

1. To end (or continue) the Halo series
2. Because it's got new features and a super deadly weapon!!!

ya and the fact that it'll help you understand immensially (sp?) on what the heck is going on in the game
