I want to trade firered pokemon to emerald. Games both restarted,I go to trade center start the link, and firered said"I'm awfully sorry.We're not setup toconduct trades with trainers in another region yet...What did I miss

after you beat the game(give the ruby and the sapphire to the guy in island one,you can trade from other games,but now you can only trade from leafgreen

Yea, the Ruby and Sapphire need to be found on the seven islands, and you give them to Celio.
