figured out how to chose different symbols on the safe, but do you go back and forth, or how do you enter the symbol when it hits the one you want?

Well how do I open the safe? I have all the symbols and there meanings, but I cant figure out how to put them in the safe to open it.

When you get past the puzzle of zodiacs and to the safe, there is a little circular arrow when you move your cursor to the sides of the dial to help you spin it to choose which character to use. Then you click the arrow until you've put each symbol into the order they come on the poem.
