I have the 1.0 version but dev console isnt working for me.I wrote it in the autoexec file but when I am in the game and I am pressing the console button nothing happens. Can somebody pls help me?

I have updated to the latest version 1.6 and am having the same problem i press the [`] key and nothing comes up.. does anyone please have a solution to the problem?
