well im glad u ask this definately helps every1!
you go to the pokemon center and you talk to the lady on the very left and she give you a pal pad which you register friends codes on, and if u have a wirless router you get on wi fi and you get your friend code there.
to set up your connection though u start at the game menu and u choose wi fi settings and you search for settings and if you dont get a connection at your house go though your neiborhood and look for one! hope this helps
