im getting pokemon diamond next week and i cant pick a starter can ne 1 give me ne suggestions

Pilup-- it will evolve into a steel/water pokemon and you will have the easiest time with Pilup.

piplup is cute-i have to admit that

piplup is awsome but thers 1good thing an 1bad thing good: when he evolves grass is only normal bad: fire is only normal for torterra bad: ice is like 2 times the damage good: fire is normal an infernape bad: flying is super afective good: uuuuuummm i cant think of a good one

i chose turtwig, didnt have a strugle with any gym leaders. i didnt train any other pokemon during the process. i only battled with my turtwig/grotle/torterra. it learns earthquake which is ground and can beat electric, and the dark move crunch that will KO any psychic. the only strugle was against fire, which i raised a psyduck into a golduck to beat, using the EXP share. this worked great... against the E4 i had my torterra and golduck. i didnt have any other strong pokemon so i used dialga (diamond) and uxie with yawn. i had already traded for a lv55 palkia so that helped too.

I recommend Chimchar. Turtwig eventually has a huge weakness to flying attacks, so do not use him. Piplup just doesn't learn many good attacks. Chimchar is one of the only fire types in the game, so unless you catch a ponyta, you'll be in for some trouble.
