I´v run through the whole game without proper armor, too little ammo and a whole lot of godforsaken enemies. This game is hard without topgear, BUT so FUN Now I just needed a little boost, but unfortunetly...as you say, there´s nothing that could ease the hard work.
Have you tried any mods, there are some quiet interesting ones around. One that comes to mind is the Horror mod it adds zombies which are very hard to kill & more bandits & stalker etc. It also makes the night very dark & a bit more eerie. Just a thought.

Sure don't have any cheat code the only code i found were at gamefaqs.com
