Nothings been confirmed yet...they won't have the toxicology reports back for a few weeks so nobody really knows if steroids played a role in this horrific tragedy yet.
What is being said though is Benoit apparently strangled his wife Friday with a cord of some sort then smothered his son Saturday, afterwards (either late Saturday or early Sunday) he hung himself in his weight room. As hard as this is for me to believe Benoit and his wife have had marital problems in the past, including a separation in 2003...it looks like the story is coming together rather grimely
WWE.com has already pulled his profile, merchandise, tribute videos, etc... from their website, plus they announced they will not rebroadcast the Benoit RAW tribute show internationally, sorry king-of-games...
Other notes in this include his wife Nancy being found wrapped in a towel with her wrists and feet bound, blood was also found under her head indicating a struggle...plus Bibles were found by both the bodies. Apparently several text messages were sent to a quote 'co-worker' before his suicide...who or what they were hasn't been released.
Both deaths are being called death by asphyxiation...

I hope he rots in h***. He deserves it. He killed his wife and killed his poor innocent son. I guess he's a b****** now. I can't believe that he did that. Man, there was Bibles next to them. I hope Chris Beniot rots in h*** forever.

No offence to you, Chris Beniot fans.
It's easy to condemn and judge before you have ALL the facts...Bret Hart hit it right on the head when he said 'I wouldn't judge Chris Benoit until we know what exactly happened'...
Like is illustrated here the public and media is quick to judge...they've already made up their minds before we've seen the real proof- the toxicology reports, that will likely determine what happened and if Benoit was taking anything...
In my opinion it's much to early to condemn anyone (especially a man like Chris Benoit) with all the questions still surrounding this tragedy...like I said before until they can be exactly sure I'm giving Benoit the benefit of the doubt. And if it turns out that everything that's been uncovered so far is true....well (sigh) I'm much too shocked to form an opinion right now in that department...
Regardless this is without any doubt one of worst tragedy's in the history of professional wrestling, arguably the worst ever...
Alright this is a little disturbing but 5 of the text messages Benoit made before he commited suicide have been released, here are they as follows:
