another tip if starting new game, just use your starter, and ONLY your starter... by the time you reach the elite four itll be around levl 84 this is when you dig out your legendaries, and maybe bring along a few hyper potions, or revives, just in case they get that critical hit that they usually get just as they need one.....
well, it depends how well or how much u train ur starter pokemon. But u'd also have to train ur other pokemon, because they r ur backup. And if the starter pokemon isn't effective against one of the Elite four's, then there is always another pokemon.

i find that a bad idea, because id just catch pokemon and raise them
ehh.. i guess i kind of just used my starter.. but then i learned that u shouldn't do that casue like.. my pokemon is weak to lots of stuf.. so then i tried to raise lots and lots of my other pokemon.. but it's hard cause they were like.. only at level 20 or something when everyone else was at like 30... and then a miracle came along.. like.. i never new about the exp share!! i know.. stupid of me.. but omg.. it helped me soo much.. so now my pokemon that isnt my starter is at like level 60 or 50!!!! hooray for me.. sorry if this is kind of long.. ehh.. oh well.. it was fun writing this..!

yeah. i'm doin that right now. but somethin is really weird other than that.. umm. when i use a rare candy.. i think that it messes up my pokemon's stats.. at least i think soo
