What do you think is the best starter pokemon in D/P?

There is a Diamond/Pearl board now, so this is off-topic.
But the starters are Chimchar, Pipulp, and Turtwig.

of course chimchar if you choose it you rivale will choose pilpup and when pilpup envoles it ice type and when chimachar envoles it is fire and fighting type and ice is weak aganst that

Piplup isn't ice, its Water, and the final evo is Water/Steel.
