in 3* you only have to repel not kill

i have never repelled it coz i always kill it, my mate half kills it, wins the battle and get the reward and then he does it again and kills it and gets the reward AGAIN! garugas are scary! i just go all out and i really dont know when to stop

Acually it changes from repel to kill after u defeat it a certain amount of times.
