    howdy all

I had a copy of tdu that may have not been considered legitimate *whistles* on my pc while i was waiting for my copy to come in (it came out 2 days ago in aus.... they know how to make us wait). anyhow, so now that i have my copy, i went to uninstall the old version, so i could install mine and put my legitimate serial number in. doesn't work. i've fired the game up in single player and i still haven't been able to put my new serial in. i've also tried running it in multiplayer but it doesn't ask for it there either, just my gamespy id (and it doesn't connect either ).

I've come to the conclusion that the serial has been stored somewhere... have a quick scan through the registry but couldn't find anyhting obvious and aside from that, i backed up and deleted my save game from the original install (haven't imported it to this install yet) as well as deleted the contents of the folder the game was originally installed to, so theoretically there shouldn't be anywhere else for game files to hide....

    Any suggestions?

oh and is there a map online somewhere with locations of dealerships etc? when my cousin got tdu for his 360, he got a map with it. they seem to have forsaken pc players and not given us (unless it's just me) crap all... i just want a bike lol

    Thanks in advance
    josh

The cdkey is located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application data\Test Drive Unlimited. Try to modify or delete the files. Remember to make a backup first.

just deleted the folder and reinstalled, all is good again

now i've gotta figure out how to either force a gamespy id on to my old save game, or create a new one profile with a gamespy id, but import all the save data from the old one...

thanks again mate i was about ready to give up.
