I have read everything I can find on the net regrettably for 5 days now and cannot seem to get past this boss. It has taken the fun out of this game Please help

Are you talking about the Minotaur? You just have to watch his attacks then roll and jump appropriately. Time your jump so that you jump when he hits the platform to avoid damage.
Poseidon's Rage helps out a lot in that battle and remember that you're invincible when you use it.
There's also plenty of FAQs around the sites that you can look at.

ok
i had a problem with this too but then i saw the ramp on the far rear right.... some type of big arrow thingy.
ok bang the mino till the o appears above his head...climb on it.... make the moves with the left stick as shown....then when the mino is ( stunned )
get back on the ramp right rear... and use the lever (arrow)
repeat till the mino is dead or armour is gone...
then hit or magic the mino till its stunned ( or dead) and use the big arrow again
repeat till the mino is dead and the hole in the door apears.
