no. You need to make sure that the connection settings are all good. Then you select an online mode through the challenge series, whether it be circuit, canyon duel or pursuit knockout, or whatever it is.

yeh need patch 1.3 but i dont recommend downloading it because it is a piece of .i cant even install the thing.

uhhh... YES YOU DO!!!

and its common sense... you need to have the same version as other people to go play against them... so if we cant get the patch then we cant log on... chances are if he can come on this site, his internet settings are already good and he doesn't need to worry about that.

Just to let you know... Cause with all other computer games I've played, you need the latest patch to make it work.

well, before it got snuffed thanks to a faulty dvd-rom drive, i played a bit of online on PC with my PC Carbon copy, and i hadn't downloaded a patch. It still worked fine. So im basing my knowledge on my experience here, but since you guys insist that you need a patch for PC, then it must be the case. All i know is that i didnt need one when i had it.

well for me, i cant play online because this thing says to go 2 ea and download da latest updates, so i do and when i see da patch 1.3, da discription says yeh need it to play online.
