I looked all over sootipolis and can't find the stairs with the trees. Where on earth are they tell me please

apology accepted...u should look carefully, just roam around sootpolis and u'll find the stairs, then use either dig, cut, or hidden power.And use it in front of the stairs
I found the stairs,finally,but i did every move that wuz mentioned,& it didnt work. I just did it rite now. I dont even no how you people come up w/ this stuff.
