If you want to kill fatalis you should just get some dragon attribute stuff the best are dual swords, easiest dual swords are the eternal shicms. just attack the fatalis where it legs and its tail join, dont bother going for the head when he falls, just keep attacking the tail and he will die...
eventually, armour wise i would recommend something with high normal defence about 35 on each piece and with a high fire, thunder and dragon resistance, about 15 for each attribute over all. I use the basarios u or the monoblos s/u cant remember, the one with 38 defence.

U do know that Fatalis doesnt have a weakness Id recomend using a gun or drag attribute against him
