Yes, but do you know how annoying it is to keep restarting your game 8192 times! (Or maybe more/less)?

any kind of grass or water, i used Mudkip and Shroomish as my main two.

if u chose torchic let him evolve all the way and get a good fighting move its most effective against him.

Use fighting types against him and it shouldn't be too hard. It's ok to use other types too (Just don't use ghost). Make sure your Pokemon is very resistant to Normal types (e.g Lairon).
But against Slaking DONT use fighting. Slaking has a rubbish SP Defense, so use SP Attack moves against him. Also heal frequently and take advantage of his skill (Which makes him immobile for 1 turn)

well so far, my strongest pokemon is Marshtomp which is on level 32, my second strongest pokemon is Swellow which is on level 30 and my last strongest is Aron which is on level 29. so would it be capable to defeat the petalbergs gym leader?
