Need for Speed: Carbon Message Board  

Ok..Ive had Carbon for a good few months, but I havent been able to pllay it because the computer isnt good enough. Now ive got that sussed out and I am no playing, but I already have a lil question..

I started playing the NFS game when MW came out, and I know Carbon followed on from where MW left...but i missed out what Underground 1 and 2 was about, and I feel ive missed some part of the story so I dont quite understand who the people are and such..

Anybody want to explain to me? Ty

The underground series is not even REMOTELY related to the story of MW and Carbon... apart from the character whos been in them the last 4 years. Underground 1 and 2 was a bit like tokyo drift - a fast, flash tuner scene with LOTS of drift, mixed in with a LOT of drag from the american street scene. Rog (from MW) mentions summat in ur 2nd race against him: "well, look what the undergound tossed us. Let's see how good you do in the daylight." So in that sense we know that the character from NFSU 1 and 2 is the same. Other than that they r completely unrelated.

Ooh..Im still confused who Nikki is..and Darius...and everybody...:l

Nikki is the hot chick wearing a jacket all the time and she has the Ford GT. Darius is the ugly guy with a hat, a red jacket and an audi le mans quattro.

Uh..I meant i dont know how they became part of the story..

All i know is that you skip town to Palmont City, Cross comes and your car gets totalled. Darius comes and says Cross cant bounty hunt and then Nikki appears saying 'How dare you show youre face again..'


Then, after I bet wolf, this guy joins the crew tells me what happened on that night I left..and in the flashback this guy tackles somebody and rans off with a bag. I am completely comfused..

Yeah. That will happen. In the game, you are unclear on the full story. What happens is that when you beat each boss, you will get one of their crew members. Each member has an integral part of the story to tell you. Once you get all the crew members, the story is complete and is replayed to you. But i didnt understand it all the 1st time.... you gotta complete the game a coupla times to REALLY get the gist.

Darius is not completely ugly. The only completely ugly person is Kenji (the guy who in one of NFS games rigs your car to break down and lose it).

Kill that Kenji!! He annoys the out of me!!

No1 rigs ur car in Carbon. It was Razor from NFS MW. But i agree. that m-----f----- should die!!
