Carl- so lets put it this way, most things are possible, and least of the things are impossible. Ur tuning has to be done correctly if u wanna drift and the only trick is to practice until u get the hang of it. Tuners are the easiest drifters in the category but if u wanna go to the next level, u would eventually end up with drifting in muscles. Muscles arent too hard. If u have tried racing in a mucsle car in a sprint or a circuit race, etc...u can tell by its handling when u reach a tight turn, it slides easily and comparing it to drifting, u would also use the same technique as u would keep sliding
Not really cos u have to really wrestle the steering wheel/analog stick if you want the muscle car to turn, let alone slide. For drifting, if you applied that same wrestling to the car it would spin out really easily and do a coupla 360s from the side efect of it. But i agree on the fact that muscle cars are the next difficulty of drifting.
Just gonna add to this a bit:
The rwd exotics are just crap at drifting. Their near 50-50 weight distribution brigs the worst effect for drifting. This means that if you wanna drift right, ALL of the cars weight is thrown right - this is called load shifting. Although this will result in a higher speed through the drift, it is also harder to control, meaning that you will most likely spin out. Try it in an SLR. They suck.
