So Im stuck on the hunt "Lost in the Pudding" where you take on the white mousse in the garmesythe waterway. Im serveral levels ahead of him. I have relatively strong spells, but I can't seem to beat him. Any helpful tips?

Put the highest fire you have in everyone's gambit. After cure of course.

Unleash the largest quickening chain u can and make sure u have appropriate gambits set. Make sure you have a strong weapon (hopefully the zodiac spear).
