I need help passing the first american level: first city to fall

damn it can someone help me with that level is so hard plz help me i allways dieon the strret whre you r heading down HELP ME!!!!!!!!!

First off let me say that this game really sucks...Call of Dutys worst installment in the whole series.

But yes I'll help, I beat the game and this level gave me a hard time at first as well. When you begin get ahead of the tanks and use your M1 to aim and shoot the Panzerschrecks, two will pop out right away as you start, the next batch will come from either the left or right (can't remember) of the swarms of troops. Now after the first area is clear, grab the medpacks that are strewn around and move forward.

Really the main objective is to protect the heavy artillery gun knocking out all the buildings, so let your troops and tanks advance ahead of you then STOP right in front of the artillery piece making sure its out of firing range. Or you can jump ahead real quick and kill several of the soldiers and Panzer guys here then go back and stop in front of it.

Keep doing this as you advance, using both methods. Because the bottom line is 'protecting the artillery gun and standing exactly in front of it' because it can't move if your in front thereby the enemy won't knock it out as it advances into the open...

Hope this helps...if not just keep at it, I got it eventually.
