Ultimate A.I.mod sounds interesting, but doesn't that increase the A.I.'s ability as well? And as far as typing in cheats every move, I'ld rather have the Trainer service that I paid for with this site...

Amen brother, I feel the same way. I can use the cheats, they do work, but it is just too much trouble to have to type in a cheat almost every turn and they aren't half as powerful nor do they do as many things as the trainer. If I could get into the program the way I did with Rome Total War I could modify the settings to do everything from getting rid of the Inquesitor to taking only one turn to produce nine soldiers in instead of only one but, I can't find how to do it with this one and, didn't need it anyhow with the trainer. I keep hoping they will update the trainer, and I won't have to worry about it anymore.

If you want to get into the files GGaius, and you've patched the game to 1.1, go to the tools folder in the M2TW folder and use the .bat file to "Unpack all files". That will unpack everything to the data folder. Then it's just like RTW. Can edit anything you want.

EDIT: There is also a mod out called "The Insanity Mod" With that mod you don't even need a trainer. Can pass the link along if anyone is interested.

Thanks for the info stryder. Now that I have the updated trainer, I'll use this for awhle but, eventually I'll get into the breaking down and redoing of the game. About the only thing I really want to do is be able to have 9 players created at once instead of one at a time. And maybe stengthen some of the weaker units. This makes it a lot easier to keep up and hold your own when you like to play vanilla such as I do.

No problem GGaius, glad to help. Like you, I really don't like playing with mods at least until after I have played the game through vanilla once. But being on a limitied income I'll have to wait to get the trainer until it's released. So I had to find another alternative. The insanity mod doesn't really change any units stats or anything like that, just maxes out movement points, allows recruiting of generals, merchants make alot of money, adds more resources, things like that. Basically just what a trainer would doonly with a few extra perks. So it works for me for the time being.

Hey Stryder, I wouldn't mind having the insanity mod you mentioned in one of your posts, even though I do use the trainer and can use the unpacker to unpack and mod the files myself. Probably a lot of other modders would like to get their hands on this one as well. I don't think anyone would object to you posting the info on where to acquire this mod but I can't say for sure so, it might be a good idea to post another message here and ask Wiz if he objects to this. If he gives you the go ahead I'm sure myself and a lot of others will make good use of it. On the fixed income thing, I know where you're coming from. I've been on a fixed income myself for more than ten years now and know you have to make every penny count. I just happened to be lucky enough to have a credit card or I wouldn't be on the unlimited list myself. As soon as you can afford to go this route I would reccommend you doing this. You'll never regret becoming an unlimited status member and it is a good and wise investment to make.

Ok GGaius. Sent you a pm with the link for that mod. Not sure the best way to get ahold of PWIZ to see if it's ok to post the link. Maybe he'll read this and respond.......lol.

Would be nice to go unlimited, just don't see it in the cards right now. Don't have plastic and too darn many hospital and doctor bills along with everything else. Maybe some day.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the mod. Let me know what you think. Don't forget, you'll need to unpack the files to use it. And to unpack you'll need 7 gig of HD Space.

    Problem with this trainer:

the Character System works for AI characters as well as your own. So if you've hit F4 and then M, any character that you mouse over - friend or foe - will have its traits maxed out.

It's not a problem, it's actually included in the readme and it says exactly that.
