Medieval 2: Total War Message Board  

Will there ever be an upgrade for the 1.0 trainer to make it work with the 1.10 patch? I know there will be no new trainer for the game but, what I would like to know is if, Cheat Happens actually intends to upgrade the old trainer which worked so well with the unpatched version of Medieval 2 that it will work with the new 1.10 patch.

In the meantime I solved this problem. I removed the patched version of Medieval 2 Total War and reloaded the old 1.0 version again in order to use the trainer. There might have been a lot of changes in the 1.10 patch, some for the better I assume, but not enough to convince me to give up the trainer. I will continue to use the trainer until there is an update for it and, if no upgrade ever materializes, I will continue to use the non patched version and play Medieval 2 as it was when it originally came out.

I asked the same question back on the 20th of December... "No plans at this time. Perhaps in the new year."...That was a quote given by the peewiz at the time. I havn't heard of any updates sense???
I still remember when everyone thought it was ludicrous to pay someone for trainers....Now I see why.

simply use the character_reset cheat or the move_character cheat and now you play whitout the trainer for traits - give_trait , give_ancillary , for cash - add_money x . Or just play the Ultimate Ai mod . It increases movement by 50%-100% i believe ;] and the game is better then it was whit 1.0 and the trainer

Ultimate A.I.mod sounds interesting, but doesn't that increase the A.I.'s ability as well? And as far as typing in cheats every move, I'ld rather have the Trainer service that I paid for with this site...

Amen brother, I feel the same way. I can use the cheats, they do work, but it is just too much trouble to have to type in a cheat almost every turn and they aren't half as powerful nor do they do as many things as the trainer. If I could get into the program the way I did with Rome Total War I could modify the settings to do everything from getting rid of the Inquesitor to taking only one turn to produce nine soldiers in instead of only one but, I can't find how to do it with this one and, didn't need it anyhow with the trainer. I keep hoping they will update the trainer, and I won't have to worry about it anymore.

We are currently working on an update for the trainer and should have it out in the next day or so. That is as long as no further comments like this one arise:

If you don't feel that paying for the hard work that goes into creating all of these trainers and subsequent updates is worth it, I'll be happy to cancel your membership. I'm sorry that we can't spit out updates the moment that the game companies release them. It takes sometimes days and weeks just to research all of the changes within a single update, especially on a massive trainer such as this one. Perhaps that's why no other group even bothered attempting a massive trainer for this game like we did.

Don't get me wrong PeeW...I applaud you and your efforts. Albeit, as a paying "customer", I'ld expect more feedback {posted progress updates}as oppose to no word for three or four weeks...
It's only human nature to get impatient in matters of payed services...Business is business...Is that not why you set up your exploits on Myspace???
Allow me to inject the fact that I stood up for the Cheathappens trainer program on the Gamespot forum where so many were talking negatively about it. And that was before I decided to join your payed service.

Good going Wiz, I knew you would come through given enough time. Sorry if some of us hurt your feelings, I don't think it was intentional. I know I don't believe in hurting anyone who doesn't deserve it, and you don't. I have always contended that this is one of the best editors I have ever seen and I still say that it is. About dismantling the program and redoing it to my own standards as was done by many of us in Rome Total War, I would do this but, as I said I don't know how without the help of the expert modders and there is no page for MTW2 such as there was for RTW. I also meant what I said about the trainer. With your trainer there is no need for doing this and I have no desire now that you are updating the trainer to do so. I have no intention of withdrawing my memership either. This is one of the few places I can say I have actually gotten my money's worth as far as paid services go and, it is a lot less expensive here than some of the other places. Look for me to renew my membership when it expires next October.
