sticking with Darius is not too difficult mind you in a Z06. So yeah, it would make sense. And jumping the opponent is the best thing to do just to get it done and outta the way with. And the credits are soooo gay... you cant even skip them!

    Yeh. Creditz, are, gayz!!

Now I'll take a tally on 'who thinks creditz are gay'!

count me in this "help" scheme. I'll help you guys answer ppls queries.

I would say the best car to get past Darius is the gallardo. You can really stick to him and get the needed points. Its 4wd helps, too.

The easiest is the viper. All you do is jump him, then block him out for 10 secs. Simple.

    The REAL DK has spoken

I disagree with the Dodge Viper, they're a bit to skiddy and unpredictable (excuse my bad spelling). Although a Dodge Challenger is just good enough, and yes, I'll let you in the "help" scheme.

    Anyone else?

Fair enough. Thats your opinion, and it should not be supressed by any means. We post in a free forum.

And cheers for letting me in the help scheme. I was gonna start a help center like in the PS2 and PS3 Carbon boards... but i guess that this is it, i suppose.

I've been seeing some people ask about winning against Darius so I will post a detailed (or at least long) guide on the board.

Winning against Darius takes up 4 races, (I'm not joking!) making it the longest event in Need For Speed: Carbon so to make this guide simple I will divide it into 4 parts (1 for each race) and you'll just have to start at the part your stuck at.

You VS Kenji, Angie and Wolf-Canyon

This is the very first (and maybe easiest) part of the 4 races. You'll race in Desperation Ridge, but you can't fall off since it's a sprint. A stragety to choose is to actually slow down on turns instead of just pedal to the medal, to do this just brake or let go of the acceleration and use the momentum (excuse my bad spelling) to carry you along then speed back again. You will need this when come to a series of hairpins. Stick with this and you should win.

You VS Kenji, Angie and Wolf-City

Sorry, no real advice here except for set Nitrous to duration and set rear-view mirrior on.

    You VS Darius-City

This shouldn't be too hard, so just make sure he doesn't speed past you and try to take as many shortcuts as you can.

    You VS Darius-Canyon

This is really hard, as soon as you start there's a hairpin in front of you and Darius is skilled on them. There is a way to win and that's to watch wat he does and put it into your stragety or pass him on the first lap or lose him on the second lap.

Please note that it the Mitsubishi Lancer is not a good choice to beat Darius with (proved by AWgod).

PM me if it doesn't work or post on this board if you have any objections so you can help me to update this so this can be as accurate as possible (don't woory about me taking all the credit becuase I'll put you in 'Special Thanks').

For the 4 races, i would highly recommend a 4 wheel-drive (4wd) or a modern muscle car. Just make sure you can handle it. These cars are best adapted for Darius:

    - Lamborghini Gallardo
    - Lamborghini Murcielago
    - Chevy Corvette Z06
    - Dodge Viper SRT10
    - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR IX
    - Nissan Skyline GTR R34

Note - I would not HIGHLY recommend the tuners - they are simply not as fast as the others and will therefore struggle.

I cant really add to the rematch races against wolf, angie and kenji - Shadow has done a sterling job on that already. I can add, however, to the Darius races:

    You VS Darius - City
You need to jump him straight away using NOS and (hopefully) a perfect shift. Then, like Shadow said, use as many shortcuts as possible. For muscle users this may be quite tricky.

    You VS Darius - Canyon
Like Shadow said, Darius is quite skilled in the opening corners. But this is NOT mainly due to skill - its his CAR. He has a 4wd which means that if he has a perfect line, he can jump outta the corners faster than he came in. For the 4wd users, i recommend you adopt his line and strategy to stick with him.

Muscle users, you're in luck. All you have to do is jump Darius before the first turn. Now, the tricky part, you have to hold it for 10 secs. DO NOT LET DARIUS HAVE A SINGLE GAP FOR EVEN AN ATTEMPT TO PUSH PAST YOU. Cos he will, one way or another.

    And BAM!! You're done.

Yeh, Darius is just as agressive as Angie. I'll able to find that in my Corvette. Now to change the subject, what's your highest amount of points you got on a Canyon race and what car you used? Mines over 280k with the Corvette Z06.

Lets see who's skilled on Canyons

I'd like to point out to both of you that I owned darius with a lancer... destroyed him... lol

I just accelerated and passed him right after the first corner, then he got back but near the tunnel part he slowed abit too much and let me pass infront... then I won

edit: I think credits are gay

They should keep credits there..but have the option to skop them :]

Otherwise I think they are gay.

Btw: You Cant really 'tell' people how drive. It is sorta like riding a bike for the first time. You have to keep practising. So in the end you cannot beat the boss, it is because you dont yet have the right skills. Maybe tweak your car or buy a new one completely. Experiment with different types of cars with different tunings. The possibilites are endless.
