im stck on the gold leaf puzzle and i forget if im a jr. or sr. detective. is there any way i can fin that out? thanx

I have done everything I can think of, but I cannot climb into the ventilator duct. I need an arrow that allows me to go in that direction and there is no arrow. I found the vent. duct, but unless I can enter it, I can't get into the library. I have the oil can which shows you that I did all the things requested of me. Help, please.

Pleez help me!!! I can't seem to get started on this game.I have got the library key,got the professors boots and so on and I,been in the elevator and all over but I can't seem to get anything done.I went in the library and got busted.How do you get in there anyway?? Yes i need help im a jr. and i found the french guy in the secret passage sawing and he told me his locker number but i can't remember it and hes gone HELP!! im going insane not being able to figure it out!
