how do you beat the el dude the first time
First, I hope you have a shotgun and the TMP, because you're gonna need it. If you saved the dog in the beginning he will help you out a lot. If not, get ready for a long fight. First, when you start off, go between his legs and get away from him for awhile. When he gets closer, throw a flash grenade at him and shoot the top of his head with the TMP. After so much damage he'll kneel down and that's when you run over and get the option to climb him. Next you have to hit the square or X button repeatedly to damage him. The button is random, so you just have to be careful. During the fight the dog will help you out. He'll distract him while you aim for his back to shoot him. Watch out for him throwing rocks and swinging trees. Do the correct button commands to avoid them. Don't go in the huts when he has a tree or he'll smash them along with you in it. After about 3-4 knife slashes, he should be dead. Good luck!!!

My first time through, that happened to me. What I did in that situation is I knifed his legs. You might have to do that, unless you want to die. If you're quick enough, you can go in the huts, because they can give you some ammo and health. Otherwise, do what I said above. If that doesn't work, then I don't know what to say. Good luck!!!
