Ok, i agree. But what you say makes 100% logical sense in REAL LIFE. Countless people join here to post their findings on REAL LIFE, not the game .

Firstly, LOOK AROUND. YOU ARE IN A GAME FORUM, not discussing drifting patterns in REAL LIFE, but in the GAME.

And shut up on how tuners cant drift. Go to google or Wikipedia or somewhere to research: D1: THE WORLD DRIFTING CHAMPIONSHIP. Oh and guess what bozo? THEY ARE FULL OF TUNERS, NOT muscles. No doubt that muscles can drift cos they cant bloody turn anyways so they have to slide their ass into each and every corner theyre confronted with!!!

    Chingy,
You're so full of it, I decided to make an account just to respond to this post...

First off, you said we're not talking about real life, then you immediately went and used a real life example by talking about The World Drifting Championships.

IN THE GAME, Tuners take corners too well, so they don't skid, and then they don't have the acceleration to power through and maintain any skid they manage to get.
I've tried using tuners and I can get considerably higher points in a muscle car which immediately skids and drifts as I enter the corner, due to handling, and has the pure power to push and maintain the skid.

If you want to talk about real life, yeah, Tuners are used for drifting, but in the game they're just not suitable. In real life Muscles handle well but in the game they handle terribly.

To quote AmirP89 on the GameSpot forum:

"The problem is that real Muscle cars from the 70's and 60's handle quite well, those were the times when your suspension systems and entire engine blocks were made from solid forged steel and iron. It made them durable as hell, that's why those cars survive till today, everything in Muscle cars was built to last, the Chevelle SS has actual solid, corrugated Iron axles, that weigh a good 210kg but their extremely tough, and don't wear down alot. Their tow and sway bars were coated with silicone to make have less air resistance; it's kind of dumb how they portray them as uncontrollable "beast" machines in the game, makes it more arcadish.

I think EA they just made Muscles as a sort of "Stallion Car" category, lots of power, no control (so they could basically have 3 groups that all have one strong point, handling or acceleration or top speed).... real life muscle cars could easily beat most midrange exotic cars with stock Hemi engines"

And as for "Modern Muscle" cars (I'll use the Viper as my example) Dodge actually prides themself with:

"You may not hold the deed, but you'll own the road at every turn in the 2008 Viper. With four-wheel independent suspension and pinpoint cornering ability, you'll call the shots. Both the coupe and roadster have been designed with stability in mind.

And talk about hugging the road-Viper's wide stance and low center of gravity offer solid footing for a tighter drive. The roadster's sturdy structure is designed to deliver coupe-like rigidity without a top, and the coupe offers amazing stability with the double-bubble roof. Either way, you get 1.05 g of taut handling on the road or on the track.

And forget stopping on a dime-you'll stop on a pinpoint every time with Brembo® brakes. These world-class brakes are made with the most advanced technological knowledge for remarkable performance."

even though it handles like a heap of in the game.

Ok my bad for contadicting myself. But heres where my "DK" status pays off - beat my latest record of 13,658,034 points in a drift event with a tuner car. I used a 350Z - a TUNER. Beat it with a muscle car and i will officially say that tuners SUCK.

Also u may want to point out that this game features the 2006 Viper. And no offense to you or anything but i find it quite sad that you joined this site to disparage someone. Thats just really petty.

And thanx for the essay but i dont think that really helps anyone, except for boosting the pride of muscle-car lovers and advertising the 2008 Viper. But this is not advertisement billboard - THIS IS A GAME FORUM.

That's pratically the same description they used to have for the Viper, they just change the year number. I pasted that from the Dodge website and they've already changed the site over to 2008. I'm a Dodge Enthusiast and have read the site for a while now, nothing major in the text changed but the year number.

You didn't even talk about the points I made, you just poked at what I used and made flawed, incorrect statements, seeing it wasn't an advertisement but rather quoted proof to back a point.

And sad or not, I'm not the one who calls himself "The Drift King" and parades around an online forum thinking he's the advice god. High positions should be handled with grace. The goal isn't to make the person you're advising feel like you think you're better than them.
You're the one who disparaged someone else before me.

im a tuner fan and i agree that musles are faster than tuners but while musles are struggling around corners turners will pass them anytime around any corner.

lets settle this tuners are better end of story

All right. I may have disparaged someone else before me. But i don't think you know a lot about me so ergo you cannot judge me like that. Only those who know me have the right to criticise me inside-out. You do not fall into that category of people so you are going, like many others, to have to BACK OFF.

'I'm not the one who calls himself "The Drift King" and parades around an online forum thinking he's the advice god.'
A slight exageration there? Parades? Advice God? Yes, you see me going about saying "im the best and all of you are just ------ and inferior to me. Ok then. NOT. I joined this site to help people, and sure my "the REAL DK has spoken" may seem a LITTLE sad but at least im not as sad as SOMEONE who joined to disparage someone and promote the 2008 Dodge Viper! Point taken, its a good car and will sell by the masses. BUT THIS IS A GAME FORUM - for the discussion of GAMES, namely in this case NFS Carbon.

I think you need to re-think your priorities and bear in mind the forum you are in is dedicated to the discussion of NFS Carbon, and not 2008 Dodge Vipers.

Going back to the thread, i think that exotics RULE! Tuners are the best at drifting and Muscles are the most fun to drive. 'nuff said.
