This game is great but if i fail on this mission one more time its going out the window!!

I can put all the bits in the circle for the different bits of the antenna and even get it onto the coit tower but defending it is like trying to fight off a never ending supply of tanks, the more i kill the more re-appear from all directions as Cypto waffles on about getting a new mothership!! i just cant stop them destroying the building!! there are just too many tanks!!

I Need HELP!!!

I have had quite some trouble on that mission as well but i finally found the secret. You might have to have someone help you out on this one via multi-furon. I dont know if it w3ill work without it. But this was my strategy...

First of all, only worry about the tanks that are indicated with a purple beam as those are the only ones that will shoot the tower, all others are sent by the gov to destroy you, so if your sheilds are at level two, they should be of no concern. If you've realized that and you still cant beat it read on.

After you assemble the sattelite and place it atop the tower, immediatly point your ship north (i believe) Have your partner point the turret south. (Make sure it is always pointing to the street built on a slope. This will ensure that those tanks are always covered.)Point your death ray (which i had all upgrades for, i dont know if that would make a difference for you, but i would advise maxing it out.) at the curling road west of the tower. Now the plan that we executed was, the turrets target was always the road to the south, the death rays target was always the winding road to the west, and the sloaped road to the east. Knock off the tanks on the west, then swing around to the east. do that for approximatley 3 minutes, and you'll beat the mission.
