by 'it' he means 'secret power TM' the guys gives it to you, and you teach it to a pokemon, the pokemon must be in your party to use it.

Yeh, get Secret Power, and go up to any suspicous tree, or dent in a wall..Use secret power on it, and it will open up, like a door (instead, your pulling and crushing things with it, not knocking on a door...)
