You really need to play KH1 first. You don't have to play CoM though, I didn't and I understood everything.

I seriously doubt that, Darkish_raven, because if you haven't read through a game script or storyline of CoM, you would probably have a hard time seeing any connection between Kh1 and Kh2. I mean there's where Namine and Axel originated, and the other half of organization XIII, and there's Riku's story that explained alot. So if you were just guessing what happened between games, you're probably wrong about several parts in the storyline.

All I'm saying is that I played KH2 and understood everything just fine, everything is pretty much explained in that game.
I only recently bought CoM but haven't beat it yet.

Yes, I'm sure you understand everything that happened IN kh2, but I wouldn't be surprised if you are a bit puzzled about what happened in between... Some IS explained kh2, but I'm sure you'll be very suprised at how much you've missed out on from CoM later on.
