So I'm new @ playing KH2 and I'll be honest I suck. I dont know what synthesis means what it does, I don't really understand half the sh!t I'm doing while I'm playing and it takes me forever to beat things. Right now I'm stuck on Hollow Bastion where you fight that one guy from org 13 w/ the guitar and controls water. Any suggestions on how I can beat this guy?

Synthesis just refers to you gathering items and giving them to the Moogles and then they use those materials/items to make better items.

For Demnyx, use the reaction command, (triangle button) and use that against the water foes whenever you have the chance.

Use Goofy's knocksmash attack to really take away some health from Demnyx.

Stay back, his attacks are quick and they tend to come towards you from a distance, so make sure you don't get hit and then attack.

Keep Donald alive so he can cure you and have some ethers and elixers with you so you can use knocksmash a few times and quickly.

ok thanks but how do i use goofys knocksmash? haha I've been just running away and then attack just after he shoots those waterballs at me, the reaction command against those water foes helped alot, i usually get to where he shoots up those water walls and thats where i die and i try to save my drive until then but die before i can even activate it

Don't use your drive at all. No explanation needed.

To use 'Knocksmash' make sure the ability is equipped for Goofy under the abilites menu.

You need all your MP for this to work, but once in battle, go down to the bottom of the in-battle menu (items, magic, etc.) and select knocksmash or something like that.
