i f@#ckin agree jackal bastila did love him ver much but sadly its agaisnt the jedi code but they dont give a s&*%t about that dumb rule

Remember one thing, its 4000 years before the first star wars movie, although the rule still stands i'm sure way back then it wasn't as enforced as the timeline in the movies. And Bastilas nature quite frankly was just plain weak, she was young and too susceptable to love, she didn't have the years of experience of a wise Jedi, bottom line- she was too weak and fell, that's why Malak corrupted her so easily...

What year was the first Star Wars movie ( or, in that case, all of them) based on? I've been wondering this forever, would you know? Like, waaay in the future, or waaay in the past?

Star Wars Kotor is based some 4000 years before the first film.

Well I think all of us in our own way are starting to wonder just when the hell Knights III will be out, it's been two years and two months since the last Kotor release on Xbox and two years for our fellow PC players...I was under the assumption that Lucasarts had contacted Bioware to make the third and they had already begun writing and producing it but apparently it seems to be b.s. information. And if Obsidian has no ties to Knights III (at least not yet) then I'm left to wonder if a Kotor release this year will even happen.

I do believe it will be made and it'll be on the 360 and PC but 'when' is the rather LARGE question right now...I mean if Lucas hasn't even contacted any company to make the third yet than it may be some time before we hear anything concrete on Kotor III. To be honest I thought the wheels were at least in motion but with no story, no platform, and not even a hired company I'm beginning to get a bit p!ssed off at Lucasarts, I mean I know there busy with other titles and after releasing Kotor I and II back to back in 03 and 04 I expected to wait a while for the third but this is getting ridiculous, the fans are dying here...why aren't they pouring more money and resources into this project? I mean what the f!ck are they waiting for???...There sitting on a goldmine twidling their thumbs with games like Indiana Jones and the sequel to Mercenaries when they should be devoting all their efforts towards getting this thing out...

Forgive me for my rant here and the harsh language for that matter but as a die-hard Knights fan I think I speak for a lot of you when I say 'my patience is wearing thin', I was expecting a release my Christmas but with Lucas sitting on their ass it's pretty clear that it may be a few years or so until we see the hugely anticipated Knights of the Old Republic III...if then I wonder.

god i hope lucasarts pulls their thumb out of their ass soon because i'm getting impatient. they should just hand the project over to bioware because they make great games(kotor1 & jade empire are two of the best games i've ever played and bioware crated them both)

so we should all email or do something to let lucasarts know that their kotor fans have been waiting too long!

Well if Lucas can make up their minds and hire someone before E3 (July 2 I believe) they may announce that there at least making it. But with absolutely nothing even worked out yet for the third then I'm assuming maybe and that's a BIG maybe next year we'll see Knights III. Probley summer...RPG's take an ungodly amount of time to make, and with Bioware busy making three or four games right now I doubt they'll get the project, Lucas will probley turn to Obsidian to finish what they started in Kotor II... But this whole thing was a real stupid move by Lucasarts, now there going to do the same thing with the second (whoever makes it) and that's prod and push the respective company to finish it, they should've started this project a whole lot sooner...you saw what happened with the unfinished Kotor II...

i nope they don't choose obsidian..maybe they should go with someone like bethesda(creators of morrwind & oblivion)because they seem to know what they're doing when it comes to RPG's.
