I can get cheat window to open ctrl + shift + c type in Motherlode and nothing happens. When I type in exit window will not close. I end up having to quit game. What am I doing wrong?

motherlode huh... weird. u have to press enter. did u..? that's the only thing i can think of.

dont capitalize the M. its motherlode. not Motherlode. i know it seems stupid but try it. and to close out of the window you push the ESC key in the top left corner of the keyboard.
ask me anything about sims 2. i'm a master =]

The same exact thing happened to me when I first started using cheats. If you don't start the debug mode thing the cheats will still work but the window will close by itself after each one.
