Hey there, when you press the tilde (~) sometimes it's not obvious that you can now enter cheat codes...all you will get will be a very small underscore (_) in the bottom left hand corner of your screen. All you have to do at that point is start entering the codes. Also, I've noticed on some games where you have to press the tilde you have to hold down the shift key as well to activate it. Try that and see what happens. Let me know if this doesn't work! Good Luck!

Holding down shift might help... but I don't ever use it.

On some computers tilde(~) may be the two buttons under escape, or the two left of backspace. Considering the aging and looking like gandalf you can check www.filefront.com for mods and skins for oblivion...you may find something that looks like an old wise guy.

what does it say in your journal? does it tell you to go anywhere? talk to anyone? also as to previous posts the button you need to press is (on most keyboards)is the button directly under the ESC and (on my computer at least) the game pauses and a | appears in the bottem left hand corner.

OK When you press the tilda key look at the bottom left and white line? if so start typing if that doesn't work then just find a trainer lol.
