After Boomstick, I was hanging out to see how they would do the next one and I wasn’t disappointed! The atmosphere and grit of the first game was combined with the game-play of the second to bring this complete Evil Dead experience to life. Set after Evil Dead 2, it offers a much more convincing story than Boomstick and even though it has dropped the combo moves of Boomstick, has new ones that are bone crunching! It is a great deal shorter than Boomstick or Hail To The King, but feels more like an Evil Dead movie as a result. The level design is great and monsters, deadites and dialogue are created with exceptional atmosphere and Evil Dead authenticity! The addition of Sam, a half deadite helper, makes it even more fun and offers a different aspect as the ‘solitary thing can get a bit old’ as Bruce points out in one of the entertaining interviews you can unlock. To quote the man himself this game is simply ‘Groovilicious’!
