When they ask for Gill, it's better not to give them any as you get a scout (sensor only for wakka) for 100 Gill, or a ring for yuna (SOS Protect and SOS Shell) for 10,000 gill. I forgot what you get for 1,000 gill, but I think it was a lance for Kimhari.
