ok here's one: why was riku able to regain his original form when the decoder of ansem the wise exploded? and why did he wear the blindfold?

He wore a blindfold because he was to sensative to the light after he chose the way to the dawn in COM?

And he was able to regain his true form after the encoder thing exploded because it had encoded Riku's stolen half heart?

King Mickey stated the reason he wore the blindfold was because "His eyes couldn't lie." The "sensitive to light" was a theory released when the "Another Side-Another Story" was first released and everyone was predicting who the "Blind-Folded Unknown" was.

actually final-arcana your wrong. its like elkashimoro said. he wanted to protect him from lying to himself. and he was able to regain his form because he didn't belong to the dark realm anymore, his battle against darkness was over so far.
