i have a book with gs pkmn in it i looked up quagsire and it said quagsire like round shiny things so i asked a friend what it meant he said it may hold an gs ball is this true cause i have like 1million of ev and none of em have gs ball

The Gold/Silver ball can only be obtained through an event (which has passed by long ago) or a gameshark (which is currently the only working method). In Pokemon Crystal, it can be used to obtain Celebi. It cannot be used for anything else.

It doesn't matter. Although you can get the GS ball through the use of a gameshark in the English version of Pokemon Crystal, only the Japanese version could be used to get it through an event.

oh,alright...one last question..as u say,only in crystal u can use the gs ball,so u can catch celebi..what is the use of having it in the silver/gold version(I'm on silver) ?where celebi does not exist (normally)
