the reason why The code doesn't work on your friends, is because the action replay hacks into the game itself. It depends on how well the game was put together, the weaker the game, the easier it is to hack it. If you shake up your game, it might not work as well, because the replay wont know what to hack. Also there is a limit to it too. I suggest not using action replays and gamesharks, because a year ago I was obsessed with the game and used cheat to make the funny or get better pokemon, but my game messed up and when I turned on my game a messgage showed up on the game saying it was corrupted, but the letters were also corrupted on the screen, it then said the file would been loaded from the previous saved time. At this time I thought it was no big idea, because this is what happens when you turn off your game when your saving the game, but the blurry letters confused me. I went and clicked on my file, but it froze. I turned on the sound, and it sounded like a screeching sound. So then I turned off the game and tried it again, the same exact things happened. I was furious, I had lost everything, (I got all my legends, all the legends, to level 100 and had beaten everyone at the battle frointier(this is emerald version by the way)and gotten all of the pokedex complete and had 5 stars next to my ID badge)I was crazy with anger. I had to start my game from scratch, this time I didnt use cheats, exept for the "all pokeballs" cheat, but when I beat the elite four, It took me 15 hours, I couldn't get the battle frontier ticket, or get any other key items because of all of the pokeballs took up all my slots in the key items part and there was absolutley no way of getting rid of them. I was hopeless, i had to resart my game again. This time I used one cheat code, the frekin one hit ko cheat to kill one stupid maukuhita. After it died the screen made the same friken sound it made when My file got corrupted before, but there was the crappiest catch to this cheat. After I turned off the game, the screen stayed the same. After I took out the game pack, It still had the same screen, I was even madder than before. I called code junkies, the place where your supossed to get cheat codes, but the said they were not reliable for any of it. I was so mad that I smashed my sp into the wall and broke it into about 100 pieces. After a while, about a week, I burned my emerald version in my friends fire place, my friend is crazy. I watched it slowly melt, i felt a lot of relief when I burned it. After 6 months I got an DS for my birthday, and a new emerald game, I was grounded for a friken month after I destroyed my game, it took a month and a half for my mom to find out about what I did. After I got the DS and the game, I swore that I would never use cheat codes again. That is the story about how I got a new DS, started to not cheat, and started to hate all cheaters.

I hope you got influenced about my story, and I hope everyone will stop cheat. Your game can also get corrupted, so watch out!!!! I used all my chars.!!!!

All thats fine and well, but if cant finish the game without cheating, which is the case with most of the pokemon games, then you have to cheat. If you cant get to a Nintendo special event or trade then the games already screwed, might aswell cheat to finish it at least once to get your money's worth.

And koala bear person, If your son knows the dangers and still wants to get one, let him have, game sharks are at least 2X safer than action replays, the cheating device I was using, but there is still a chance that it could mess up his game depending how good the game was built.

okay potato chips, you dont understand, I wanted to catch the ? pokemon and so I used a cheat for all pokeballs and it went into the key items and ruined the game, The only reason I did it is to see what the ? pokemon would do

the odds of messing up your game with a cheating device aren't that big, at least with mine. if it does though, you could probably just turn off your game and restart the system. also, catching that ? pokemon would've glytched your game anyways if you would've saved

The chances are actualy 40% to 100 with action replay if you save, I wanted to know what the ? thing was, I wasnt going to catch it, I was just retarded and saved when I put the "have all pokebalss" cheat on.

Your game probably doesnt mess up because it was built well.
